27 They were eating, drinking, marrying, and being given in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 “It was just the same in the days of Lot.[a] They were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building. 29 But on the day Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from heaven and destroyed them all.
